New Life Community Church held a graceful Sunday Service on May 8. The minister Cindy Chou delivered the message titled " Knowing our life" from Genesis 2:7.
"Man consists of two parts, spirit and flesh. Not just flesh, but also spirit. The physical flesh is what we can see. Our body has its desires, our spirit also has its desires. Man pursues the truth, the goodness and the beauty. Our body will be destroyed but our spirit exists forever," preached Chou.
She continued, "If we look in the big picture, we live 3 lives, including 9 months in mothers' womb, 100 years on the earth and eternal life in spiritual world. Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment. We need prepare our life for the eternal life on the earth. We need follow Jesus to live our life. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. Everything on the earth will perish, only Word of God will live forever."
Everyone was exhorted to seek God's kingdom and righteousness first to live their life.
After the service, they had the time of sharing reflection and table fellowship. Mrs Pam and Gabriel prepared delicious food for everyone.
Jafre Chase shared, "I am encouraged by the example in the message. The one who is late for service didn't get anointed oil from the angel. I need prepare the service well. The message mentioned that final judgment is like the most important exam. I prepare a lot for my school exams. I need prepare well for the final judgment in front of God."
After the fellowship, they prayed together for Mrs Pam. She left to visit Elim Center and receive prayer training for two weeks. She had great expectation for this trip and hoped to come back to serve church.
Please pray that the Holy Spirit can guide New Life Church members to seek truth more and Mrs Pam can have a safe and graceful trip to Elim!
