New Life Member Reflection From Elim Prayer Training

New Life Community Church member Pam Meza came back to Baltimore from Elim Center last weekend. She had joined two weeks prayer training and received a lot of grace. Below is her reflection.

Underlying the clear purpose was a desire to more fully trust in the Lord, so I could draw closer to Him and receive healing, help and deeper understanding of how to grow in relationship with Him.

I am not prepared for the level of spiritual warfare I encountered. Ranging from petty annoyances, to a plethora of misunderstandings ( most are simply due to cultural differences), to having to attempt to overcome negative mindsets and demonstrate who I really was, the storms I entered were a shock and almost took their roll. Praise God, He gave me persistence, courage, and grace sufficient for each day. After being reminded that Christ's victory was achieved on the cross through humility and obedience, and through trusting the Father completely, I began to shift my focus from problems of the moment to His Presence in the moment. I am grateful for the patience of the Pastors and staff.

As I sought and found the Lord on a deeper level, my increased trust in Him gave me the ability to open my heart to receive more of His love. I became more aware of Jesus and the Holy Spirit in me, and am now able to appreciate myself more for who God made me to be, as well as more fully recognize and continue to be conformed to His image. When my eyes are fixed on Jesus, we become more and more of my true self.

Pastor Faith and Zechariah have been given very powerful gifts from the Lord, and I believe I benefited greatly from the way they used these gifts with love, sensitivity, and integrity. Their prayers and prophetic words from the Lord worked in my heart to help me develop o greater intimacy with Him, directly resulting  in His giving me a much deeper  revelation of who I am. This experience made me a deep impact on my heart.

So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord-who is the Spirit-makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. (2 Cor. 3:18 NLT)

Please pray that Mrs Pam can grow deeper in Word of God!
