On Dec 11th, New Life Community Church held a graceful Sunday service and first rehearsal for upcoming Christmas worship night. Pastor Cindy continued to deliver the Christmas sermon series. The message was taken from Romans 8:3-4 and John 3:16.
"We are all sinners and we couldn't accomplish the requirement of the law because of the our sinful nature. Inside of us, there are great pains and burdens of committing sins. However, God did by sending his own son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. He condemned sin in sinful man. Christ came to this world and carried our sins. He treated sinners not as sinners, but he treated us as his friends, he loved us, he embraced us, so that we can be set free from sin. He also opened a new history of life and love to all humanity." The message exhorted everyone to meditate the meaning of Jesus birth deeply.
After the service, they had a good time of breaking bread and table fellowship. Jafre Chase shared, "I received a lot of grace today. Jesus came to live a life of love. He loved God with all his hearts and he loved us by his life. He came to serve me. He is king but humbled himself. It's really amazing and I want to know his love more in my life."
A family of Jessica and Perry came to church for the first time. They searched online and found the church. They reflected they wanted to have more connections with God and study his word. They haven't been to a church for a long time. Perry was laid off because of his cancer. He asked for prayer for his surgery and his family.
The first rehearsal for Christmas worship night was held after service. The guitarist Bennie and his wife from Baltimore county came to church and joined. He was at his retired age but wanted to serve the Lord as much as he can. With Violist Jafre, they practiced nine Christmas songs together joyfully for two hours. They gave thanks to God and scheduled two more times rehearsal. Another guitarist will join. Please keep the worship night in your prayer.
Thanks God! May Holy Spirit can guide more people to church and know Jesus!
